Petite présentation de Frugalware live-CD version : fwlive-0.7rc1-i686-full.iso . Le CD permet de démarrer Frugalware en mode live-CD. Dans ce mode, on se retrouve sous l'environnement KDE.

Au boot on a le choix du mode : live-CD ou net-install.

Le mode live-CD permet de savoir si frugalware “supporte” notre matériel et de tester la distro , pour ceux qui ne la connaissent pas , puis de pouvoir l'installer ……..

• Pour se loguer : user : fwlive et password fwlive
• Pour se loguer : root : root et password fwroot (voir image 2 )

Le choix net-install et le même que pour une ISO net-install donc pas de surprise.

Voici quelques captures d'écran des principales étapes du démarrage en mode live-CD.

• install Firefox, OOo, k3b in linux-live modules

• spellcheck, some strings are completely incomprehensible - completed till (not including) issue (VMiklos)

• documentation about kernel commandline, etc

• get rid of boot-time depmodding (see man depmod's “-b basedir –basedir basedir”) – done! (Janny)
• linux-live package add files from pkgs instead of own/custom binaries – done! (Janny)

o using /mnt in place of /media – done! (Janny)

• in Makefile variable Minimal/Server/Qt/Gtk ISO file procreation – in partly done! (qt and gtk not tested) (Janny)

o Qt == KDE and other Qt apps ; Gtk == GNOME-XFCE and other Gtk apps

• use grub instead of isolinux – done! (Janny)
